PROJECT 2010-2012 A Historical Meeting!!!! CECIL TAYLOR, AMIRI BARAKA & SPECIAL GUESTS "Diction & Contra-diction" Poetry, drama, piano... ===== 2010-2011 CECIL TAYLOR SOLO CD TBR on Ruby Flower Records www.rubyflower-records.com ==== PROJECTS ANA ISABEL ORDONEZ 2010-2011 Projects ORDER FROM CHAOS DVD black and white format, with music or witl live music DVD relase delayed to end 2010 ===== production : 2010-2012 AMERICA, THE LOST DREAM? A film by Ana Isabel Ordonez This film will cover America landscapes, soundscpaes and characters. It will also covers parts from South America cities like Cartagena de Indias, Colombia 16 mm, 120 min DESCRIPTION PROJECTS : ORDER FROM CHAOS Film by Ana Isabel Ordonez with the granted permission of Auschwitz Birkenau Museum in Auschwitz, Poland Spondored by Augusta Savage Gallery University of Massachusetts Starring : Loter Martin Yehuda Cheres Featuting : Rabbi Carie Carter Rabbi Yackob Schapiro Rabbi Yitzak Asiel Produced by : Ruby Flower Prdoductions Summary : The very root of Albert Ketzenger’s struggle grows in soil shared by Jews, Holocaust survivors, and all humans: The need to find peace in suffering, closure for the soul’s wounds, and order from chaos. This most human requirement calls to all people, particularly in life’s twilight years, but to none more than the survivors of war and genocide.
In the global chaos of World War II, with communities scattered and families wrenched apart, clearly far more than cities were destroyed by bombs and ideology. When the very being of an entire people was invalidated and their worth as humans called into question, the resulting affliction burdened people all over the world. The need to heal and find comfort and reconciliation also has been experienced by all peoples.
Order From Chaos is a present day drama-documentary chronicling one man’s drive to overcome his pain and make peace with his suffering. While this film is rooted in history, it is not a historical film. The documentary follows World War II survivor Albert Ketzenger and his journey back through the chaos of war and imprisonment, love and loss, and the search for resolution. As Albert crosses continents to rediscover his life’s love and roots, we experience a story that can unite the experiences of Shoah survivors and all people.
What draws viewers into Albert’s story, what makes it inspirational, what makes people identify, or want to identify, with the character? In this case it is the sheer mass of courage, focused determination, and, you would have to believe, grit that Albert demonstrated not once, but thrice: First in joining the resistance, fighting Franco’s regime, and escaping repeated capture; second in retuning to Europe and revisiting the places where his suffering had been most intense in order to nurture a sense of closure and an ability to move on; and lastly in taking the healing he found within himself and sharing it with his family to generate love, closeness, and understanding before his lifetime ended.
Albert’s days were not the times of airline ticket purchases over one’s Blackberry and new clothing purchases via American Express upon arrival. The heroism required for Albert to survive war and imprisonment is far greater than many of us will know. That he escaped the labor camp is larger than life; that he then evaded the Nazis for years, traveled the globe searching for his love, changed identity and took on new occupations repeatedly, and finally succeeded, makes him a sort of modern archetype. When we hear of Albert’s journeys and challenges, we will wonder, Is that seed of courage inside of me also? If life demanded, could I rise up and go to the same extremes? Would I do this for nation or for love?
Viewers of Order From Chaos witness in Albert’s deeds a heroism that seems not to exist today, in the twilight years of what Tom Brokaw called the Greatest Generation. Right or wrong, pro or con, this generation of fighters and survivors has been held up as the deities of our recent history. We have admired them and been inspired by them, and their successes can be felt by all people. Albert rose to great heights in external life; his make it impossible to not feel direct empathy for the losses suffered among individuals, whether the viewer is Jew or gentile.
Perhaps inwardly his courage is even more considerable. Interview with Susan Frances @ Jazz Review USA http://www.jazzreview.com/article/review-7464.html

2008-2009 Projects CONSILIENCE AND ALTRUISM: OF THE OTHER WAY OF THINKING AND STEPHANIE STONE
A Bio-Musical-Imaginative- Theoretical tribute written and created by Ana Isabel Ordonez Improvisation patterns by Herb Robertson Design created by Claude Marc Bourget
Avant-propos: The sense of exhilaration that characterizes Herb Robertson’s experiences under improvisation patterns is heightened for his new sextet as storytellers by his complicated, naïve and sincere intellectual and emotional activity exertion and by the intensity of struggling with a creative process under the pressure of a string steady beat. From the outset of this performance improvisers will enter in an artificial world of time in which reactions to the unfolding events of Stephanie’s piano notes must be immediate. The consequences of their music and action will be irreversible.
THE SUBSTANCE STRINGS, THE ALCHEMY OF ALTRUSIM, THE SOUND, THE CONSILIENCE, THE EMOTIONS… During this performance Herb Robertson’s sextet similarly enter in a piece of progression at six designed keys and tempo and keep track of their mettered progress to the form of the whole design taking great rhythmic liberties. They might or might no playing inside the time; they double up or trip up on the tempo—improvising patterns precisely twice or three times as fast as the beat. In the core instances alchemic calculations guides excursions outside the time. Superimposed metric frames aid in placing pitches with rhythmic accuracy at finely distinguish on abstract points to the reality of the underlying strings thereby creating subtle organic elements (insects) of syncopation and polyrhythmic activities. World Premiere New York City 16th November 2008 The Stone, NYC www.thestonenyc.com “CONSILIENCE AND ALTRUISM: OF THE OTHER WAY OF THINKING AND STEPHANIE STONE” “A Bio-Musical Imaginative Theoretical Tribute” written and created by Ana Isabel Ordonez Improvisational patterns and concepts by Herb Robertson Design created by Claude Marc Bourget Performed by: The Herb Robertson Sextet
Herb Robertson sextet with Marty Erhlich, David Taylor, Terry McManus , Mark Helias & Jay Rosen --- “M & NEO NOIR"
A conversing, visual, collective graphic/musical interaction with audience and different settings. Conceived & written by Ana Isabel Ordonez Composed Neo-Noir scores by Herb Robertson Design by Claude Marc Bourget Performed by Noir Neo-Bouquet Band
In this performance the accent will be based on behaviour during a musical and graphical event with the spontaneous attitudes of performers which will aid the audience to assess the musical moment and interpret their subtleties. During the graphic/performance, viola and trumpet accompanied by piano and saxophone will build their solos to a peak of great intensity then resolve it by strumming several chords on the downbeat of the final turnaround with pronounced sweeping movements across the viola/trumpet bodies. In a sense listeners and musicians will play interactive roles of actors from their perspective platform. Some audience members look for drama in performers and the aim will be to touch upon that when musicians are presenting their songs. They will play the music as it’s written but they will accent strongly in the manner of the notes which originally would be without any accent. They will increase the music’s rhythmic complexity by accenting the weaker upbeats in a four-beat measure. By imposing a contrasting rhythmic frame of reference upon that, implicit in the music, listeners and musicians will create a dual accentuation scheme that exerts an alternating pull upon the music from one beat to the next and imbues the performance with a rocking, swinging quality like the dynamic motion of a pendulum. Unlike classic Noir, Neo-noir films are aware of modern circumstances and technology. Identity crises, memory issues subjectivity and technological problems and their social ramifications are enlightened as it can be applied to fictional works. As in fiction and projecting an M as for Movie, Monkeytown, Montgomery, and Mystery… we will present in four interactive screens original conceived Neo-Noir images …. The letter M represents spiritual leadership, though the characters consider themselves personages of long suffering. They do have a tranquil attitude towards life in general and expect the same of others. It takes a lot to anger them but once their ire has been ignited, they are not easily extinguished. The performances comprise a constantly changing environment around the orbit of the time line and it will underlie polymetric foundations. World Premiere- New York City 20th November 2008 Monketown, Brooklyn NY www.monkeytownhq.com “M and Neo-Noir” performed by The Noir Neo-Bouquet Band with Herb Robertson, Mat Maneri, Chris Olsen & guests

Copyrights La Belle Usine©2007 Copyrights Ruby Flower Records©2007 The Shades of Jazz on Noir film presents excerpts from the classic film noir works of the 1940s and 1950s crafted to express the fatality, passion, and danger created by directors who pioneered the lively lighting techniques and psychologically expressive approach to classic noir. Shades of Jazz on Noir is projected onto a large screen as documentary and is the second instalment of a film noir and jazz series created for Luxembourg European Cultural Capital 2007. The first film, A Touch of Noir was a view from the wounded male perspective ala James Dean and has been performed in Europe (Luxembourg, Netherlands). Shades of Jazz on Noir is viewed from the Femme Fatale of those classics creating a fresh and unusual media experience. Shades of Jazz on Noir will combine the passion and despondency of classic film noir with the texture and dynamism of modern improvisation, resulting in a unique, growth oriented experience for students of film, jazz and new music.
